When soft voices die
Vibrate in memory
Home taken for granted
Trap doors fall open
Pedals from rose long dead
Drops on our finger tips
So are our thoughts, gone
Will we slumber on
We’re left to face
All the change
As our planet fades away
Destruction waged
Now too late
Will she be at peace again?
We take and take
Seasons give way
To our self destruction
Last sunset fades
On the last day
Stare at the burning horizon
We have paved the road ourselves
With no good intentions to be found
Bloodletting the world as we saw fit
The time has passed to turn it around
We have paved the road to hell
With only self destruction to be found
Leaching off the Earth as we saw fit
Nothing good has come of it
Carry on as though we have it made
Carry on as though we haven’t dug our own graves
Carry on as though at any moment we’ll be saved
Carry on as though we’re worth saving anyway
Carry on
We’re just ghosts
In a dying globe
Filled with smoke
With fires lit by us
Although we aren’t in this alone
There is no return, there is no hope

If you feel like mist that graciously draws edges silken, as bitter clouds burst in droplets – a burnt hand would warily seek their comforting warmth – to let you wash your shame in tears; luxuriously tonguing atonement&salt , then this is what I recommend to you.

Wrank is easily my favourite Mastiff release which, unlike more recent releases that have strong leanings to a black metal sound (not my taste), is packed full of sludgy doomy riffs with a hardcore edge and an extraordinarily dynamic and powerful vocal delivery (listen to Lord of the Worm, and Leeches, for example). If you have ever wondered what it feels like to be repeatedly bludgeoned in the face with a club hammer then you have found your answer here. Master of Alchemy

Aww... I am melting! That voice is phenomenal! The way it so delicately conveys all the horrors the EP is about. The instruments are used very effectively to maximise the vocals too. Sometimes I forget that strong & powerful emotions do not necessarily need metal to be conveyed effectively... :) The new version of "He Is Not" is incredible! Love the lyrics too! Highly recommended!!! bmurator
